Insurance benefits for hearing aids vary greatly depending on your insurance company and plan. We would be happy to assist you in determining if your health insurance policy has any coverage for hearing aids. Generally, no insurance will cover the entire cost of hearing aids and instead pay a fixed dollar amount.
Please read the following as it may answer some of your questions.
• Medicare does not cover hearing aids for adults; however, diagnostic evaluations are covered if they are ordered by a physician for the purpose of assisting the physician in developing a treatment plan.
•
Medicaid does provide benefits for hearing aids but this benefit is policy
dependent. Please ensure that you have a checkmark under the "hearing"
column of your monthly award or approval letter. If you do, Medicaid will
buy a new pair of hearing aids every five years. They will also pay for most
hearing aid repairs. Please note that the hearing loss must meet certain
"severity" requirements in order to qualify for services. We accept all
types of Medicaid (standard, Evercare, and Amerigroup). Please contact our
office for further details.

• If your health insurance coverage does not provide a benefit for hearing aids, we believe that hearing is essential to everyday life and offer flexible payment plan options through Care Credit.
